Zuriel International Ministries Devotion

Revelation 1:6(KJV): And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

God has anointed You as a king. That is one of the graces inherited by the new creature in Christ.

Because you have this grace, the Lord Jesus says, ‘Occupy until I come.’( Luke 19:13).

However, anyone functioning in the kingly grace has to understand that every king has a territory.

So, you must ask yourself, what is your territory?

The Bible says in Acts 17:26, “And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation”.

What does this mean?

God has defined your territory, an arena in which you reign as a king.

There are kings in the realm of innovation, in the world of business, in agriculture and various areas of industry.

You must find your field, lest you labour as a slave in places that you have not been appointed.

Praise the Lord!

ISAIAH 38:1-20(GNT)

God’s Guiding Word: Promise

INTRODUCTION

Isaiah 38:1–20: King Hezekiah of Judah reigned from 716–687 B.C. Isaiah chapters 36 and 37 recount God’s deliverance of Jerusalem during the Assyrian siege of the city in 701 B.C. and the death of the Assyrian monarch. Today’s reading focuses on Hezekiah’s illness during this time and God’s response when Hezekiah turns to God for help. [In today’s reading, note that verses 21 and 22 are inserted after verse 6.]

TODAY’S KEY VERSE: ISAIAH 38:16A

Lord, I will live for you, for you alone.

REFLECT

What was Hezekiah’s prayer (verses 2–3)? What was the LORD’s response (verses 4–6)? What was the sign of the LORD’s promise to Hezekiah (verses 7–8)? (The stairway may refer to one in the palace courtyard or perhaps some kind of sundial.) How would you describe Hezekiah’s song of praise (verses 9–20)? If you have ever experienced recovery from an illness, what was your response to your healing?

PRAY

Lord God, you are the true source of life, and I thank and praise you for your steadfast presence in my life and hearing my prayers. When in need, I know I can turn to you for help, trusting in your constant love and care. In your holy name, I pray. Amen.
